Adele Fine - Early Childhood
Assistant Director/Camp Shalom Jr. Director
Adele Fine, Camp Shalom Jr. Director and Early Childhood Assistant Director, has been working at the Ross JCC since 2002. Before assuming these positions, “Miss Adele” was a teacher at the Glantz Early Childhood Learning Center and Rosenblatt Camp Shalom Jr. She has earned a BA in Communication from the University of Pittsburgh, a Master of Science in Education from Nova Southeastern University and has completed the Master Teacher Program for Israeli Engagement.
Tema Friedman - Early Childhood
Director
Tema Friedman has been the Early Childhood Director since January 2007. Prior to that, she was the Early Childhood Director at the JCC in West Palm Beach.
Mrs. Friedman holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education from Brooklyn College and a Director’s Credential from the State of Florida. She has done graduate work in the field of Early Childhood and is a certified Early Childhood teacher in the state of New York and Florida. She is a member of the Council for Jewish Education in Palm Beach. Known as “Miss Tema” to the children, the majority of her career has been in the Jewish sector, holding director positions at The Posnack JCC and The Posnack Hebrew Day School.
Our Staff
The Camp Shalom Jr. staff is highly specialized in early childhood education. The majority of the summer teachers are on the preschool staff during the school year. As participants in ongoing professional development and approval by the Department of Health, your camper will have the best and safest possible experience at camp.
