Yeladim (Preschool Camp)

Young children thrive on a consistent schedule with structure and routines; however each day Yeladim is full of surprises!

Yeladim offers children a unique and fun-filled summer experience in a safe, loving and engaging Jewish environment. Campers will be divided into groups according to their age. Qualified staff will be with your children throughout the summer. Most staff members are First Aid and CPR certified. The staff partners with your children and your family to ensure your child spends an unforgettable summer while continuing to blossom.

Yeladim provides:

  • Several special experiences each week; be prepared for everything from water play to art exploration to special events to interactive shows and Shabbat celebrations. This summer we are bringing back sports and cooking!
  • Before care is available between 8:00 and 9:00 am and after care is available between 4:00 and 6:00 pm.
  • Rothman Aquatics Center: whether participating in swimming with our in-house JSwim Aquatics Team or playing in the spray ground, Yeladim campers will take advantage of the state-of-the-art Rothman Aquatics Center. (Swimming will be available for 3's and 4's only.)

Current children of the school:
A minimum of 2 consecutive weeks is required.

New children who are registered for the 2021-2022 school year:
A minimum of 2 consecutive weeks is required.

Children attending only summer camp:
For 2 year olds (age as September 1st, 2021), a minimum of 8 consecutive weeks is required
For 3 year olds (age as September 1st, 2021, a minimum of 4 consecutive weeks is required.
For Pre-K children a minimum of 2 consecutive weeks is required.


Typical Day (9:00 am - 4:00 pm)


Boker Tov
Campers begin the day in a community. Being part of a large community is an experience of its own. Campers build their identity as a group at the same time they interact with other children and learn with and from them. Boker Tov sets the camp tone for the rest of the day. Favorite camp songs along with good morning rituals make Boker Tov one of the children’s favorite parts of the day.


Exploration Time
Each group has a home room, set up with developmentally appropriate areas that engage the children in a variety of ways. Dramatic play, blocks and construction, reading area, loose parts and manipulatives, light table, sensory areas and art are among the many choices children have to explore and learn. During this time children have opportunities to experience whole group activities and small group projects.


Water Play
From swim, sprinkler park and water play the children have the opportunity to refresh with some water fun. (Swimming is for 3's and 4's only.)


Special
Each day a different special will be waiting for the children. Specials can include gymnastics, music, art, sports, yoga and Israeli dancing.


Lunch
Beginning with a blessing, campers enjoy eating their home packed lunch with their friends and counselors.


Menucha (Rest time)
Young children need to rest their bodies and their minds. Mats, dim lights and peaceful music is the perfect recipe for rest time or a nap followed by quiet experiences.


L’Hitraot (So long ...)
Our day comes to an end with a home-packed snack followed by an end of the day mifgash meeting. We sing songs and leave with excitement for another fun day of Camp Yeladim.
