Young children thrive on a consistent schedule with structure and routines,
but each day Yeladim is full of surprises!

9:00 am - 1:00 pm *

Boker Tov
Campers begin the day in a community. Being part of a large community is an experience of its own. Campers build their identity as a group at the same time they interact with other children and learn with and from them. Boker Tov sets the camp tone for the rest of the day. Favorite camp songs along with good morning rituals make Boker Tov one of the children’s favorite parts of the day.

Bunk Time
Each group has a home room, set up with developmentally appropriate centers that engage the children in a variety of ways. Dramatic play, blocks and constructions, library, table toys (also known as manipulatives), light table, sensory center and art are among the many choices children have to explore and learn. During Bunk Time children have opportunities to experience whole group activities, small groups’ projects and, in some cases, one-on-one time with the counselors.

Specialty Period 1
Each day a different specialty will be awaiting for the children. Specialties can include science, music, art, sports, cooking, Israeli culture and pottery.

Water Play or Specialty Period 2
From water slides to water races and from sprinklers to water tables, every day the children have the opportunity to refresh with some water fun.

Lunch
Beginning with a prayer of thanks, campers enjoy eating their home packed lunch with their friends and counselors.

L’Hitraot (So long…)
We end the day with a ritual L’Hitraot (so long) and leave energized and with much enthusiasm that children can’t wait until the next day to come back and start all over again.

* Yeladim 9-1 for 3 year olds only (must be 3 by Sept. 1, 2012)

Menucha (Rest time)

Young children need to rest their bodies and their minds. Mats, lights lowered and peaceful music is the perfect recipe for quiet time or a nap. An alternative activity will be available for those children who don't nap.

Specialty Period 2

The specialty we couldn’t fit in the morning, has its chance in the afternoon
If there is some time left, Bunk Time is always a cherished one

L’Hitraot (So long…)

We end the day as a community and leave energized and with much enthusiasm that children can’t wait until the next day to come back and start all over again.
